Singapore-headquartered global design, engineering, project and construction management firm, Meinhardt Group, is delighted to announce that Meinhardt Facade Technology, Dubai office, has been honoured with the prestigious “Facade Engineering Firm of the Year – Consultant” award at the Zak Awards which was held at the Coca Cola Arena on 24 April, 2024.
This recognition celebrates Meinhardt Facade Technology’s unparalleled expertise and innovation in facade engineering, as exemplified by their award-winning project, One at Palm, located in the iconic Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
The award highlights the team’s extensive role in the pre-contract design stage and the post-contract completion of One at Palm. Designed by SOMA New York and developed by Omniyat, One at Palm showcases their exceptional capability in delivering cutting-edge facade engineering solutions that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally superior.

One at Palm is a testament to our commitment to raise the bar of facade engineering. The building's design challenges were significant, involving complex facade systems that required innovative engineering solutions to ensure seamless integration and functionality. This award is not just an accolade for our team but a recognition of our collaborative approach with our clients and partners. Our work on One at Palm is a perfect example of how challenges can transform into opportunities through innovation, expertise, and a deep understanding of our client’s vision.
One at Palm, an ultra-luxury residential development, is a showcase of engineering marvels and design excellence. With 94 residences, including three penthouses, the project offers stunning views of the Dubai Marina and the surrounding areas. The facade engineering was crucial in maximising these views while maintaining the structural integrity and aesthetic value of the building.
The project demanded meticulous coordination to implement various facade systems including single-height frameless glazing; double-height frameless glazing with minimal depth glass fins, and large sliding doors that offered challenges in terms of structural deflection. Each element was carefully designed to provide transparency and a flawless transition from interior to exterior, enhancing the living experience without compromising on style or comfort.
The project's facade access design also presented unique challenges due to the staggered arrangement and limited roof space. Meinhardt Facade Technology’s innovative solution included temporary davits and bespoke abseil trolleys, ensuring maintenance and operational efficiency without compromising the building's visual appeal.
