Global Engineering firm, Meinhardt Group, announced today that it will be hosting its year-end global board meeting in Doha from December 10 to 11, 2019 – the first time the Group is staging its global board meeting in the Middle East.
Board members of Meinhardt Group will also meet with various Qatari government agencies and long-standing clients on the side-lines of the global board meeting. The Group will hold a dinner reception for its key clients and industry partners on 10th December with Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker as the Guest of Honour.
Founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1955, Meinhardt Group is a leading integrated design, engineering, project and construction management firm now headquartered in Singapore. It is one of the largest independent engineering firms in the world and has an impressive track record of undertaking complex real estate and infrastructure projects globally. The Group has more than 4,500 staff spread across 51 offices globally.
Meinhardt Group CEO, Omar Shahzad said: “Meinhardt Group started its operations in the Middle East more than two decades ago. Qatar was the first market we ventured into and one of the first projects we worked on was the City Center Mall in Doha. Since then we went on to complete a multitude of projects across Qatar and the region such as Tornado Tower, The Pearl Viva Bahriya and Muscat Airport in Oman. Over the last few years, we have seen a significant uptake in new high-profile projects in Qatar, including the expansion of Hamad International Airport, major metro and hospital projects.”
We are staging our global board meeting in Doha, to underscore our continued long-term commitment to the country and our desire to further expand our operations here. We will also be setting up new entities in Doha to broaden our scope of operations in the country and offer our full suite of consultancy services including project and construction management, advanced Building Information Modelling Solutions, and techno-commercial solutions in the form of advisory services which cover capacity building, commercial and technical advisory.
