Building Services Engineering perhaps represents the single most complex activity involved in the building design process. The successful delivery of this service is in turn the primary concern of many clients.
At Meinhardt we have embraced this challenge; in particular the manner in which concerns over energy use have given our Building Services Engineers the opportunity to engage in the design process from the earliest stage, to optimise the building’s energy performance and reduce its carbon footprint.
Buildings are the largest users of energy globally, and in that context we take our responsibility for promoting energy conscious designs very seriously.
We use advance modelling techniques to support us in our design work; this ensures that building services plant is accurately sized, to run at optimum efficiency.
We have also embraced working in the 3D environment through BIM, partly in order to ensure that our designs are fully co-ordinated with both Structure and Architecture.
